Perfect Food Playing on the Golf Course

Ok so you are out on the golf course. It’s a four hour plus round and you are starving because you forgot to bring food with you or the food you brought with you just doesn’t satisfy you. You can’t concentrate on your game, your mind is wandering as all you can think about is food.

What are you going to do? Finish the round hungry and unhappy as you could no longer concentrate on the game. There goes the handicap another shot out as you couldn’t keep it together for those last few holes.

In my previous post I showed you how  “Want More Energy” can sustain your energy levels and keep you hydrated. Now I would like to share a protein bar that will curb the hunger cravings, is nutritionally complete, protein packed and yes really yummy!

What you should know about these bars;

  • They are packed with high quality undernatured whey protein from cows that are pasture fed. These cows are not treated with hormones or antibiotics.
  • The whey protein is low in lactose and high in branch-chained amino acids for maintaining muscle and promoting muscle growth
  • They have a balanced ratio of high quality protein, healthy fats and energy-boosting carbohydrates
  • The nutritional profile slows the absorption of sugars into the blood stream making it a low-glycemic food
  • Low in lactose for easy digestion
  • Low in calories too
  • Curbes your hunger

Why is it important to choose a bar that is high in protein?

Studies are revealing how important protein is regarding to the role that branched-chain amino acids play in stimulating protein synthesis, fueling muscle maintenance and growth. Protein helps maintain muscle as you age.

How great would it be to have a bar or two like this out on the golf course and know that it is going to do all that mentioned above?

I have been using them for 12 months now and they are so convenient for playing golf and teaching golf with my busy schedule. I know my body is being well looked after.

Oh yes and if you have that chocolate craving or the need for something sweet it will satisfy you completely.

The Protein Bars are Isalean Bars from Isagenix. They have various flavours such as Chocolate Cream Crisp (my favourite), Chocolate Decadence, Lemon Passion Crunch (another favourite) and Chocolate Peanut Crunch.

Oh who am I kidding I love them all!

Here is a study that confirms eating thes bars won’t spike your blood sugar and confrims the low glycemic effect.

      Hi Mark
Well that’s exciting that your daughter has the vision of turning pro. I wish her best of luck.

There are so many drills out there to improve short game. What I suggest is that she spends a lot of her time, working on 1, 2, 3 metre putts, the 7 metre putt and the 10 metre putt. If she gets these putting lengths more consistent it will greatly improve her scoring. She need to practice them under pressure like putting them in the hole in a row before she moves on to the next putting activity.

With regards to chipping, she need to practice aiming at the hole with her chip shots, working on getting them in the hole and she can’t move onto the next activity for her chip until she holes the ball. Doesn’t matter how long it takes to get it in, it is the fact she is getting her mind to focus on the task at hand. It will help when she is on the course. It’s not quantity practice it is quality practice with focus and purpose.

If she wanted a more detailed plan on what to do I could put something together for you for a fee.

      Kind regards

      Tiffany
