#18 Web TV: Core & Foot Strength Exercises for Golf

This week’s tip I want to share with you a few really essential exercises that will improve your stablity and strength in your golf swing.

Not only do you need to practice your swing but you also need to make sure you work on strength of your core and improve your balance as you need both of these in the shots that you play on the golf course.

These exercises will assist in maintaining your positions through the golf swing but remember these are only a few examples of what you need to do. They are not the be all and end all….

If you work on these exercises solidly for the next month….. you will notice a difference in your stablity but… if you give yourself 3 months of solid work then that is when you will really feel much more stable.

Remember this is only the beginning…

This video does go a little longer than the usual tips I give you but I wanted to make sure you got some really essential exercises that will make a difference.

Watch the video and let me know what you think??

Happy Practicing!

Brilliant exercises Tiff thanks for sharing. I especially found the one where you curl up your arch of your foot and wiggle your toes, surprisingly difficult. This will really help with my running to.

      Hey Janet
I thought you would like the feet ones especially as they really keep the feet nice and strong…especailly for running. I have noticed a big difference myself with these exercises and the strength of my feet. Enjoy πŸ™‚

    Hi Tiff,

Thank you for your core and feet exercises. I also have a lot of feet problems and will include your exercises into my routine.

As wellas the core exercises I have recently been doing 20 push ups , trying to keep my

back straight. and develop some biceps , this seems to improve the lengths of my shots, arms are less floppy !!

Hi Beate, you are welcome for the exercises. Your pushups sound like they are improving which is great. Just keep working on it. The stronger you get the more stable you will be and your shots will be stronger. Good news about the arms πŸ™‚

Great exercises Tiff. I had never thought of exercising my feet before!!!. I’m with Janet. – the feet exercises were tricky to do and you made it look so easy πŸ™‚

I’m really going to have to work on my feet and my balance – they are my problem spots.

    Thank you.

Hey Claire, You know I just accepted my foot problems because I had them so long until I discovered this great Chiropractor. We worked really hard on my feet. So yes I make the foot exercises easy now but they were tricky when I first started. But you will notice over time how much more you use the muscles in your feet but also they will feel so much stronger…. which in turn will improve your balance. Enjoy and do them daily πŸ™‚

I really enjoyed participating in these exercises Tiff and plan to do them daily. I had difficulty doing the balancing on one foot with my eyes closed but it did get easier each time I tried. Thanks for all your wonderful guidance.

Hi Margo, that’s great you are doing exercises daily. Every bit assists in helping your golf game. Everyone has a problem balancing with eyes closed but it is a really good one to do for foot strength and balance. πŸ™‚

    Hi Tiff,

Cannot believe the instant relief I got from the foot arching exercise, after a week of golf my feet were really tender, felt like I was walking on needles, this has been a massive help, and so quick. Thanks heaps. I’m just about to hit the floor for the others:0)
